What is TMJ?
TMJ stands for temporomandibular joint – the hinge that connects your jaw to your skull. When this joint isn’t working right, it causes jaw pain, headaches and can make eating, talking and even yawning painful!
- Jaw pain or tenderness?
- Pain when chewing?
- Clicking or popping sounds in your jaw?
- Jaw locking (can't open or close fully)?
- Headaches or earaches?
- Facial pain?
- Difficulty opening your mouth wide?
If you answered yes to any of these – you might have TMJ dysfunction!
