Graston Technique
What is Graston Technique?
The Graston Technique is a hands-on treatment that uses special stainless steel tools to help find and treat tight, damaged or painful soft tissues. These tools help the therapist work deeper and more precisely than hands alone. This treatment helps reduce pain, improve movement and support proper healing of muscles and connective tissue.
How the Graston Technique Works
Injured or overused tissues can develop scar tissue and tight areas that block normal movement. The Graston Technique helps break down these problem areas, improve blood flow, and allow tissues to heal in the right way. This makes movement easier and reduces long-term pain.
- Breaks down scar tissue
- Improves tissue flexibility
- Reduces pain and stiffness
- Improves blood circulation
- Helps restore normal movement
- Supports faster healing

The Graston Technique is commonly used to treat long-lasting soft tissue problems that do not heal easily on their own. We use this treatment for tendonitis such as tennis elbow, Achilles tendon pain, patellar tendon pain, plantar fasciitis, IT band issues, shin splints and chronic muscle strains.
This treatment is also helpful for post-surgical scar tissue, carpal tunnel symptoms and limited range of motion caused by old injuries. When combined with physiotherapy exercises and proper care, the Graston Technique helps restore movement, reduce pain and prevent future problems.
Our Graston TechniqueTreatment Approach
Each Graston session is adjusted to your comfort and condition. Our therapists are trained to use the right pressure and techniques to achieve results without unnecessary discomfort. Treatment is often combined with stretching, exercise and movement training for best results.
Who Is This Treatment Best For?
The Graston Technique is ideal for people with long-term soft tissue pain, scar tissue from old injuries or surgery, repeated or recurring injuries and conditions that have not improved with other treatments. It helps restore movement and reduce pain when tissues are tight or damaged. This treatment may not be suitable for very recent injuries or open wounds, which is why we always assess your condition first to ensure it is safe and appropriate for you.
